To the NC-DWP MOU Reps:

I hope you have kept up with recent developments in our relationship to the DWP.

74 NCs are members of the NC-DWP MOU OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE. 69 NCs have gone on record supporting the 9/3/07 OSC RESOLUTION. You may review the documents in the www.DWPOSC.org /(REPS/NOTICES/MEMOS).

The DWP is way overdue in getting the Industrial, Economic & Administrative (IEA) report. This is a City Charter-required strategic survey of DWP's activities. The OSC decided by a UNANIMOUS vote of those present on Jan 5, 2008 to "...not support any further DWP RATE INCREASES until the IEA was available."

1. PLEASE click on your "REPLY" button and confirm that you have received this notice.

2. PLEASE reconfirm that you were present & voted at the January 5, 2008 meeting.

3. If you were not at the meeting, PLEASE call me, directly.

The OSC wants all NCs to consider and to support our position. We hope you will pass a motion or a Community Impact Statment (CIS) in support of the OSC's (UNANIMOUS) action, "agendize" the issue soon (if you haven't already) and send your opinion to your City Councilmember individually or as a NC.

It is critical that you get your responses to the OSC early, since there will be a major meeting,
this Saturday, February 16, 2008
at the Mark Ridley-Thomas Constituent Center,
8475 S. Vermont Ave., 10 am - noon.

WE HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE, too!!!

Thank you for answering those 3 questions (above).

Be sure you send your response to me at dwisemanmd@yahoo.com
or call me at 1-818-635-4033.

Respectfully submitted,

Daniel Wiseman
OSC Secretary
